Battelle has served on the management team of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory since 1998. The nation's lead laboratory for renewable energy technologies and a primary laboratory for energy efficiency technologies, NREL recently opened a 71,000 square foot, multilevel facility dedicated to research and development in solar cells, thin films, nanostructures, hydrogen energy, and fuel cells.
