The Mission of the OSD is to build long-term strategic business relationships between Battelle's project staff and the small business supplier community. Ensuring that all small business subcontracting goals are met and exceeded is critical to our role as a services provider. 

Utilization of qualified small business firms as Battelle subcontractors is imperative in our acquisition planning and helps to strengthen Battelle’s competitive edge.  Creation of the Battelle Supplier Diversity Program allows small businesses to submit their business capabilities for screening and inclusion in Battelle’s Supplier Database and is fundamental to the key values of supplier diversity.  Areas of interest for small businesses include:
