
At Battelle, we believe that to be an educator is to be responsive to the highest of vocational callings. We applaud all those who endeavor to prepare our young people to be productive, thriving members of society. But we also recognize that positive outcomes, no matter the level of effort exerted by a teacher, are a challenge to obtain.
That is why our STEM initiative includes opportunities for in-service and pre-service teachers to learn the methodology and pedagogy of STEM-based learning. We believe that through a project-based, mastery-driven curriculum, teachers will obtain more positive outcomes. We support a full cadre of professional development activities. Most of these opportunities are embedded in our larger programs or deployed through the U.S. Department of Energy National Laboratories that we manage or co-manage.
