Our long-standing relationship in Europe includes 50+ years of everything from cleaning oil spills in Italy, assessing pollution in France, evaluating environmental damage in Spain, and registering pesticides for companies throughout the European Union.
 
In South Korea, Battelle’s collaboration dates back to 1964 with the building of the Korean Institute of Science and Technology. Battelle’s South Korean partnership also includes Battelle@KU, a laboratory established by Battelle and Korea University to perform research on respiratory tract health. Battelle also jointly sponsors an internship program with the Korea Foundation for International Cooperation of Science and Technology, placing Korean interns at Battelle laboratories throughout the United States.

In addition to collaborating with Japan on the emergence of that nation’s nuclear industry in the 1980s, Battelle continues a 40-year relationship with Mitsubishi Corporation with the latest joint venture, the opening of an office in Tokyo, Battelle-Japan.
 
In India, Battelle India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Battelle, is a first-in-class venture. Battelle India brings Battelle’s extensive R&D experience to India in the creation of opportunities for “made in India” brands. Battelle India is working to provide needed support for entrepreneurial companies wishing to become players in the global economy.
