Battelle is powering fuel cell development to deliver clean, efficient, and affordable sources of energy for automotive, stationary, portable, and combat electronics and communications applications.
OUR APPROACH
Battelle owns the complex research facilities, broad array of technical talent, and systems approach to customize fuel cell solutions to meet customer needs. Collaborating with the national laboratories we manage or co-manage for DOE and several universities, we are focusing on low-cost, high-performance fuel cell membranes and membrane electrode assemblies. These innovations are being developed for diverse proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell applications, like stationary, automotive, and portable power. Battelle is also developing a fuel cell that can provide efficient and quiet power for the U.S. military in the areas of combat electronics and communications.
